Best Foam Nozzle At The Moment

Since foam will be produced over a wide area, the spray used to dampen it will need to cover that area uniformly. It is recommended to use spray patterns that create a full cone. This spray pattern sacrifices some force, but most foam doesn’t need a heavy blow to knock it back, so it’s not usually an issue. Because foam may spread over a broad area, a spray designed to eliminate it must have sufficient range. The broad spray angle nozzles available from SNP are ideal for this task. However, the effect is diminished even more by increasing the spray angle. However, when working with fast-forming, dense foams, the lesser effect of wide-angle spray nozzles is something to keep in mind.

Nozzle selection

Because they can generate a complete cone spray pattern with a spray angle of up to 170 degrees, the TF series of spiral nozzles are often used for foam management. As a result, even if overhead space is restricted, a single nozzle may treat a vast area directly below it. Nozzles in the MP and MPL series also tend to be well-liked. They have a wider spray cone than spiral nozzles and can spray at angles of up to 120 degrees. As a result, the foam is thrown back at a more consistent rate.

This includes connectors for both the store’s own brand washers and the widely used Kärcher K series washers like the one we tested with. A fan nozzle is carefully included by Halfords and connects with a quick-release adapter. In addition to transforming the regular lance into a hybrid lance/trigger gun, this feature makes switching between foam application and rinsing a breeze. Foam delivery was on par with the Hydro, but it lost points for having a small neck and an unstable base.

BigBoi Snow Foam Cannon 5 Way

There are five different spray patterns available from the huge head, thus the name “5 Way.” These are horizontal, vertical, inclined down, cone, and jet. Smooth navigation via the menus and top-notch fine-foam and distribution coverage are guaranteed. The millilitre and ounce scales were easy to see, and the broad neck base was great for holding the lance. PTFE tape is also included in the package. Pricey, but worthwhile.

Ultimate Finish Foam Cannon

Ultimate Finish seems to have cobbled together the components for their own brand of lance by purchasing them from other manufacturers. BigBoi’s (up top) product comes in a box with a similar design, but the lance is exclusive to Angelwax (below). You may appreciate the written scale on the bottle, even if it only measures up to 700 ml, if you have trouble with tiny numbers. This cannon produced a passable foam, but it went through the mixture more quickly than the others.

Meguiar’s Ultimate Snow Foam Cannon Kit

This was our top option in a smaller test we conducted in 2020, but it now falls well short of the competition. Although the lance alone and seems to be somewhat pricey, the 946ml of foam included in the package brings the total to just. There is also PTFE tape and metal adaptors for Kärcher, Bosch, and Nilfisk washers in the package. The engraved scale on the bottle is nice, but the bottle’s short neck and opening make it difficult to use.

Autobrite Direct Foam Lance

Comparable to the Meguiar’s (above), this seems expensive until you consider that it also contains a 500ml bottle of Magifoam. This lowers the cost of the lance down to a more reasonable £32, while the foam is available for an additional £5, thereby nullifying the savings. The lance is comfortable to use, the Kärcher adapter is metal, and the bottle is broad; nevertheless, the bottle’s neck is thin, and the scale is difficult to see. The foam wasn’t quite as nice as the top four, but it was still solid, even though the lance had trouble keeping its delivery thick when we dialled down the power.

Angelwax Blizzard

The Autoglym Polar Blaster we tested in 2020 looks almost identical to this, down to the livery, and offers the same benefits. The large reservoir base and wide opening made for easy filling, but the lack of measurement markings meant that the solution had to be mixed elsewhere and then poured in. The handling was satisfying, and the foam was on par with that of competitors who were below our top four, but it suffered when we dialled down the power. The relatively high cost is also problematic.

YeenGreen Adjustable Foam Cannon

At a third of the cost of its competitors, you can clearly see that the plastic components are the source of the savings. The foam wasn’t as thick as the others, but it wasn’t horrible, and it used chemicals at half the pace. The mixing control is notchy. There was a wheel brush included in the packaging, which I found odd. Not great, but it will do for the price.

Which Snow Foam Lance Fits Your Pressure Washer?

Compared to the snow foam cannons available in the past to use in conjunction with a pressure washer, today’s models have advanced greatly. UF Foam Cannon

When connected to a pressure washer, the UF Snow Foam Lance produces thick foam in a variety of designs, from a 90-degree broad flat fan to a 0-degree jet. To use the Snow Foam Lance’s clean water for rinsing, just turn the soap control knob counterclockwise to its farthest point. Turning the soap’s dial all the way counterclockwise produces a thick lather that’s great for washing vehicles, motorbikes, and boats.
